Too much data

I've been looking over my database machine and I notice that I have a problem. Despite having a super tight data structure (really super tight), my logging DataBase is over 12.5 gig, and that's just since January.

Just by looking at the June stats at the House of Fusion statistics page, you can see the problem. I'm being hammered to death and I'm recording every blow. :)

I'm going to try and get some aggregate data from the DataBase and start dumping data month to month. Either that or get another drive just for that DataBase alone.

Cache web server paths = BAD

I moved Fusion Authority off of the main House of Fusion box last night leaving HoF alone on the box. I thought that this would be a good time to try out one of those admin settings you never use.
Cache web server paths - Caches page paths on single-site web server installations, which provides improved performance. You must restart the server for this change to take effect.
Oh was this a bad idea. The ram usage for the CF server jumped right through the roof! We're not talking in a day or even an hour. We're talking in the space of a few minutes. I had to take the option off ASAP to get the box back to normal. Ug.
